Aurora Biomed is dedicated to providing automation solutions for scientists to streamline their research and facilitate scientific breakthroughs. The  of liquid handling systems are versatile instruments and are valuable tools for a range of applications and sectors including: healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agriculture, food science, and forensics. The VERSA Series enable greater efficiency, higher reproducibility, and improved data quality while reducing reagent costs and freeing up valuable time for researchers to perform other tasks. Each system is optimized to the customer’s specific protocol requirements, including labware and kit chemistry, providing unparalleled flexibility and versatility.

Aurora was founded on its ability to design and develop superior analytical instruments for elemental analysis. Our lineup of instrumentation includes the  of atomic absorption spectrometers, the  of atomic fluorescence spectrometers, , and the  of safe and effective microwave digestion systems for upstream sample preparation.

Aurora Biomed’s  (ICR) of instruments combine atomic absorbance spectrometry and with a patented microsampling process to accurately measure ion flux in cell-based assays. The ICR series provides an extremely sensitive, high throughput, and cost-effective solution for pharmaceutical and academic laboratories studying ion channels and transporters or in the drug discovery process. Aurora’s family of Ion Channel Screening products include the atomic absorption spectroscopy-based Ion Channel Readers, , and  licensing. The ICR 8000 and 12000 are compact enough for the benchtop and have broad range of applications including voltage and ligand-gated channels, ion pumps and transporters, and stretch-activated channels.

With Aurora’s strong history of instrument development and innovation, we also offer a variety of standard and customized  (OEM) products. At Aurora, we understand that competitive pricing, reliability, compatibility, and quality are crucial factors for successful OEM partnership. Based on these factors, we have developed a wide range of pumps and robotic components that can compliment your system to eliminate time consuming manual processes. Currently, these include  and  as well as  workstations. Our dedicated team of engineers will work with your development staff to accelerate software and hardware integration, liquid handling, and robotic components.

TRACE A1 1200

Atomic Absorption Spectrometer

Fast and accurate system. Fast dry technology alongside the optional autosampler completely removes sample splatting, this details better detection whilst considerably shortening analysis time.

TRACE 1800

Atomic Absorption Spectrometer

A high-performance atomic absorption system. The combination of D2 and Smith-Hietfje background correction techniques alongside 1800 line/mm optic grating gives clear, consistent results.

LUMINA 3400

Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometer

The Spectrometer utilizes precise syringe pumps to provide sub trace detection and elemental analysis of hydride-forming elements. The unique vapour/hydride generator provides enhanced sensitivities and reduced interferences for parts per trillion (ppt) detection of Mercury (Hg), Arsenic (As), Cadmium (Cd), Zinc (Zn), Bismuth (Bi), Selenium (Se), Tellurium (Te), Antimony (Sb), Tin (Sn), Germanium (Ge), and Lead (Pb).

TRANSFORM 680 Microwave

Microwave Digestion System

The system is a top-loading, closed vessel system with high-pressure capabilities to enhance the digestion quality while decreasing the overall sample preparation time. It is capable of simultaneously running up to 6 high-pressure closed vessels on a rotating carousel to ensure an even distribution of conditions, providing a fast and pre-programmed method of digestion for even the most difficult of samples.

Transform 800 Microwave

Microwave Digestion System

The TRANSFORM 800 is a top-loading, closed vessel system with high-pressure capabilities to enhance the digestion quality while decreasing the overall sample preparation time. The system is capable of simultaneously running up to 10 high-pressure closed vessels on a rotating carousel to ensure an even distribution of temperature and pressure, providing a fast and pre-programmed method of digestion for even the most difficult of digestions.

CRYSTA Lab

Water Purification System

The CRYSTA Series is a line of lab water purification systems that will deliver the best technical results for your lab water purification needs from general pure lab water use in buffer preparation and high purity glassware rinsing to critical use in High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Polymerase Chain Reactions (PCR).

Spectrophotometers

UV/Vis spectroscopy

Measure sample compositions and concentrations as a function of the color intensity, or more specifically, the wavelength of light absorbed by the analyte. UV/Vis spectroscopy is routinely used in the quantitative determination of solutions of transition metals and highly conjugated organic compounds.

Versa 10

Configure for Multiple Applications

Scale up your experiments without scaling up your budget or taking up valuable lab space! The VERSA 10 provides a versatile 6 position deck all in a footprint under 3 ft2. Utilizing air displacement pipetting technology, the system can handle volumes as low as 1µL. The 8 channel head with single channel functionality provides flexibility to prepare anywhere between 1 to 96 samples.

Versa 110

Single Channel Liquid Handler

Automation should adapt to you.  The single channel liquid handler with precise XYZ targeting allows the use of specialized plate types (carousel, collection tubes, cartridges, etc) not compatible with other workstations. Utilizing dual pump pipetting module, the system can handle a broader range of volumes between 30nL to 1000µL. The VERSA 110 ensures that the only differences in your protocol will be increased throughput and precision.

Versa 1100

Eliminates Cross-Contamination

The 15-positioned modular deck configuration with options such as magnetic bead vortex, shaker-heater-magnet elevator and ReagentDrop allow optimization to an extremely wide variety of protocols. Optional independent Z-axis movement allow for working with samples of varying volumes. Combined with highly accurate liquid handling technology, the VERSA 1100 eliminates cross-contamination.

ICR 8000

Ion Channel Readers

Aurora Biomed’s ICR (Ion Channel Readers) combine the versatility, precision, and sensitivity of atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) with our patented microsampling process and liquid handling technologies, creating a high-throughput screening solution for ion channel researchers that fills gaps which automated patch-clamp cannot. The ICR 8000 is a more affordable, mid-throughput ion channel screening system which is compact enough for the benchtop while retaining broad utility.

ICR 12000

Ion Channel Screening

Designed for ultra-high throughput ion channel screening of compound libraries, incorporating multi-channel sampling and enhanced automation features.

Based upon the versatility, precision, and sensitivity of Aurora Biomed’s atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) instruments, the ICR 12000 is suitable for both ligand-gated and voltage-gated ion channels using cell-based flux assays. With the robustness of Aurora Biomed’s ICR technology, the reader offers high sensitivity for both electrogenic and non-electrogenic channels and transporters.
