Our CLASSIC analyzer
The ECS 4024 Classic model elemental analyzer is an instrument for organic elemental analysis based on high-temperature catalytic combustion (Dumas method), in an oxygen-enriched atmosphere, for the simultaneous determination of the elements CHNS and optionally O.
The ECS 4024 Classic Model is the semi-automatic model that represents an evolution of the elemental analysis techniques based on “flash combustion” and chromatographic separation. The combustion gases CO 2 , H 2 O, SO 2 and N 2 are separated in a GC column maintained at a constant temperature, selectable by the user between 30° and 110 °C. The detection and determination of the concentrations of the various elements is carried out by a thermal conductivity detector (TCD).

ECS 4024 CLASSIC is a semi-automatic analytical unit, controlled by a microprocessor and interfaced to a PC. The results can be displayed directly via PC using dedicated software.
It is available in different modalities: CN; CHN; CNHS.
The ECS 4024 CLASSIC consists of three main modules: a sampling/combustion system, the detection system and the data management system. In particular, the TCD (Thermal Conductivity Detector) is self-calibrating and requires no reference gas and is extremely easy to use.
It is a highly sensitive analysis instrument, very flexible and combines robustness and reliability to satisfy the most diverse analytical needs; it is possible, in fact, to connect it to other units for the determination of the isotopic ratios of stable elements.
The ECS 4024 CLASSIC is suitable for so-called “micro weighing”, i.e. for the analysis of particularly homogeneous samples, which do not require a significant quantity of sample to obtain excellent repeatability.
